Parliament: The n / s was voted on in principle for the modernization of competition law for the digital age ‘

The draft law of the Ministry of Development on the “modernization of competition law for the digital age”, which incorporates a European Directive on the Competition Authorities of the Member States, was approved by a majority in the plenary session of the Parliament.

The deputies of ND and KINAL voted in favor of the bill, SYRIZA was declared “present”, while the KKE, the Hellenic Solution and MERA 25 voted against the bill.

All five ministerial amendments were approved by a majority.

In particular, they voted in favor:

– The amendment of the Ministry of Development Amendment and Investments, which among other things provides the possibility of disclosing the name of companies that violate the measures to reduce the pandemic, arrangements to support companies based in North Evia, increase the Auxiliary Fund of Car Insurance by broadening the scope of the Energy Transition Fund. The amendment was voted in favor by ND, SYRIZA and KINAL, with the “present” being supported by KKE and MERA 25, while it was voted against by the Hellenic Solution.

– The amendment of the Ministry of Interior, which among other things includes the regulation for the granting of special purpose permits and other facilities to the employees of the narrow and wider public sector, whose children are infected with coronavirus. It also includes the overtime employment of KEP employees in the provision of services related to covid-19, special arrangements for employees in public sector bodies who are suspended for public health reasons, transfers of permanent administrative staff to courts, prosecutors’ offices and general committees of the country. The amendment was voted in favor by ND, while all other parties voted against it.

– The amendment of the Ministry of Labor, which concerns, among other things, the facilities for parents when their children are sick with coronavirus, which was voted in favor by ND. KINAL declared “present”, while SYRIZA, KKE, Hellenic Solution and MERA 25 voted against.

– The amendment of the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection, which extends for 4 months (and if there is still an immediate risk of spreading covid-19) the possibility for the General Secretariat for Civil Protection to assign and conclude in derogation of the existing provisions, SARS Covid-19 self test test procurement contracts. The Greek State also recognizes all types of debts of the Fire Brigade to the international organization under the name Nato Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) for the years 2011 to 2016, voted by ND, SYRIZA and KINAL. The KKE and MERA 25 were “present”, while the Hellenic Solution voted against.

– The amendment that provides the possibility of secondment to the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, permanent employees or IDAX who serve in bodies of the General Government or the BoG. It also provides for the establishment and structure of an Independent Office for the Management of a Sectoral Development Program. The amendment was voted in favor by ND and KINAL, while SYRIZA, KKE, Hellenic Solution and Part 25 voted against.
