The fears, but also the hopes and expectations of young people: the new, tenth edition of the Festival of Slownessscheduled in Parma from today (June 7) until Sunday 9. The chosen theme is, precisely, «nostalgia for the future», which will be discussed in over 60 scheduled events, including meetings, book presentations, workshops, shows, concerts and creative and experiential activities for adults and children.
The ducal city will become a special place of sociality, conviviality and culture: the event will transform iconic places of Parma culture – such as the square of the Church of San Francesco del Prato, a symbol of rebirth thanks to the great collective restoration work, the Casa della Musica, Piazzale Salvo d’Acquisto and Borgo delle Colonne – on widespread stagespromoting mutual contamination, under the banner of four key words: sustainability, inclusion, creativity, change.
«We are very excited. The Festival is ten years old and we have decided to celebrate it together with a very rich program of events and appointments designed for everyone”, explains Mauro Boschini, the artistic director. «We promise you three days in which we will do our best to regenerate you, to take care of the time you dedicate to us. We will pamper you with music, books, films, words, workshops, good food, installations and much more».
