Parques Fundos de Investimento em Participações (FIP) in Infrastructure was the winner in an auction at B3 this Thursday afternoon (22) to take the concession for the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, in Mato Grosso.
The proposed value was R$ 1.009 million, which represents a premium of 9% in relation to the minimum value established for each bid, of R$ 925.80 thousand.
The auction started at 5:15 pm at the headquarters of B3. Two companies were interested in managing the park, but one was disabled. No reason was given. When reading the auction rules, it was informed that proposals below the minimum bid would be disregarded.
The winner of the auction will be responsible for managing Chapada dos Guimarães, in addition to taking care of its modernization and coordination. The park receives between 170,000 and 200,000 visitors a year.
The company Parques Fundos de Investimento em Participações em Infraestrutura is currently the concessionaire, among others, of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, in Goiás, and the Caminho do Mar Park, in São Paulo.
Yesterday it won the concession of parks in Minas Gerais, the Ibitipoca State Park and the Itacolomi State Park, between Ouro Preto and Mariana.
