Partial lifting of quarantine for travelers to Germany

German government promotes quarantine exemption for those vaccinated against Covid-19, have recovered from the disease or have a negative test for coronavirus.

According to Health Minister Jens Spann, the federal government plans to decide already this week the change of the regulation for arrivals from abroad.

Thus, according to AMPE, it will release those who have been fully vaccinated against it Covid-19, those who have recovered from the disease and have a positive molecular test of 28 days to six months and those who present a current negative test for coronavirus.

The exemption will not apply, however, to those returning from areas where there is an outbreak of variants of the main strain of the new coronavirus, as explained by Span.
