One of the participants in the second season of Islanded with her mother-in-law, Andressa Araújo criticized the reality show presenter, Fernanda Souza after she left her family out of a thank you video posted on social media.
“And once again, we have been erased from history. ‘Oh, Andressa, stop being annoying. Fernandinha just forgot. She said six families’. All good. But, she cited five and she wrote five. And among the five there was not the Araújo family”, Andressa said in her Instagram stories.
“And it’s okay for me to be angry, stressed, upset, tearful about this. Because she was talking, talking about the trajectory of the program, about who built that project. And we, the families, were the ones who built it. And then how does she quote [as outras famílias]and you don’t mention the Araújo family? The family that had a private relationship with her”, he added.
“If it’s private to her, it’s okay if she doesn’t support us. Everything is fine. But if you talk about being a presenter, about the history of the program and then you don’t put us in the situation, then I get upset. I get sad, I get tearful. How much I cried today is not written,” said Araújo.
Fernanda Souza’s post to which she refers was a video published in the presenter’s stories in which she spoke about the experience of running the reality show Ilhados com a Sogra and thanked the participants.
In the video, Fernanda even says that six families participated, but only mentions and writes the names of five: “Thank you always. To each of you, each of the three people, from each of the six families. All my affection and gratitude for your dedication, for your courage. Our champion, the Kashiura family, the Damasceno family. Huge kiss from the Queiroz family, the Mendonça family, Sousa. Anyway, everyone. May you receive my big hug.”
Fernanda Souza’s apology
This Wednesday morning (22), Fernanda Souza made a post on her Instagram apologizing for her “lapse of memory”.
“This week I made stories to thank everyone involved in the success of Ilhados and when I went to thank the families, I unfortunately forgot to mention the Araújo family!”, wrote the presenter. “I have already recanted with them about this human error of mine and apologized to Val, Andressa and Henrique for what happened!”
“They lived with me during the program and know how loving I am to all of them. It was just a lapse of memory!”, she added.
