The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said, according to the Russian agency Ria Novosti, that his meeting with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be possible if the negotiations between the special envoys of the two countries are successful.
“There is no such idea, no agreement. But if the negotiation process is successful and the process matures at this point, a high-level meeting should follow,” Pasinian told a news conference.
Earlier in December, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu said the two sides would soon appoint special envoys to normalize relations between the two countries and that charter flights to Yerevan would be allowed. He noted that Ankara is considering applications from Turkish and Armenian airlines for flights between Istanbul and Yerevan.
