PASOK Central Committee: The new balances in the party

By Haris Ioannou

With an air of renewal, politics and age, as well as a comfortable predominance of the executives who support Nikos Androulakis, the counting of the cross-donation for the new central committee of PASOK was completed, as it emerged after the conference.

Of the 300 members of the new central committee, about 200 belong to the presidential majority of Nikos Androulakis. The Papandreou members recorded a significant presence with about 70 members, while the Loverdou side is represented in the body, as well as the various tendencies and alliances, such as e.g. the “Renewal Left”, etc.

Andreas Spyropoulos, a close associate of Nikos Androulakis, is the first to be elected with 2258 votes, who will be elected new secretary by the Central Political Committee in its first meeting in the coming days.

The second with 1,436 votes was elected the current secretary of the party, 31-year-old Manolis Christodoulakis, who was supported by Papandreou and his family and some see in his face a future pole of internal opposition.

The other close associate of the PASOK president, Stefanos Xekalakis, came out in the vote with 1,204 ballots, who has previously been PASOK secretary, before (it) abolished and created KINAL.

Michalis Karhimakis was elected seventh from well-known Papandreou with 818 and Filippos Sachinidis eleventh with 768. Also, Efi Halatsi in 29th place with 653 votes, followed by the also “Papandreou” Polina Lamze (791) (539).

Spokesman Dimitris Mantzos is elected in 84th place with 524 crosses, conference president Petros Efthimiou in 125th with 442 and Nikos Androulakis associate Mara Koukoudaki 82nd with 530 votes.

Except with 838 votes, the former candidate for leadership and former spokesperson, Pavlos Christidis, was elected, who was supported by many parties (genetic, youth, androulakian).

As it was seen from the result, many “lines” of cross-donations were broken with the result that not all persons from the Androulakis close staff were elected to high positions, however the leadership had made it clear that it does not seek entrenchments and exclusions. Besides, in the new body that will be elected (Political Council) there will be a clear majority of Androulakis, but all the tendencies will be represented.

The exact composition of the central committee will be officially announced by the ephorate, after the integration of the various quotas (young people, expatriates, etc.), while it is not yet certain whether executives such as Christos Protopappas or SYRIZA-based Costas Chrysogonos will be elected.

Margarite Satisfaction

The leader of the renewal left, Thodoris Margaritis, stated after his election that: “In the previous congress – chaired by F. Gennimata – I was elected to the 11th position of the KINAL Central Committee. I did not support the new President. PASOK-KINAL, for a modern and open party in all the tendencies of the Center-Left “.

Kama nails

Pantelis Kamas, former secretary of PASOK Youth, left nails for the process of informing the crucifixion in real time. “The modern digital party has not been able to produce aggregate results for the Central Committee in real time. This is the first time this is happening. We are entering a new era …” 18th with 723 votes.
