The immediate convening of the Committee on Institutions and Transparency within the current week is requested by PASOK, with a letter to the chairman of the Committee, Ath. Boura.
As stated in the text of the letter, PASOK-KINAL invites to a hearing: New Governor of EYP Themistoklis Demiris, former Governor P. Kontoleontas, competent prosecutor V. Vlachos, former secretary of the Prime Minister Grigoris Dimitriadis and president of ADAE Christos Rammos .

Mister President,
After the revelation of the attempt to trap the mobile phone of the president of PASOK-KINEMATOS ALLAGIS Nikos Androulakis, with the Predator malicious software, we requested the convening of the Institutions and Transparency Committee and the invitation to a hearing before it of the then commander of the EYP and the president of the Authority Ensuring the Privacy of Communications (ADAE).
The meeting of the Commission and the hearing of the above persons, present and the ministers of Digital Governance and State, took place on July 29, 2022.
During this meeting, through an interesting alternation of revealing information, guilty silences and careful concealments, new and critical questions were raised about the surveillance case, not only of the president of PASOK-KINEMATOS ALLAGIS, but also of journalists and parties.
Before enough time had passed since July 29 and in the midst of a storm of impressions, questions and rumors, we were surprised, citizens and parties, to learn from the lips of the Prime Minister who oversees the National Intelligence Service, that since the end of September 2021 Nikos Androulakis was under surveillance of his telephone communications, after the issuance of a relevant order by the prosecutor responsible for the EYP, with the general and vague invocation of “national security” reasons. The connection to the phone of the President of PASOK-KINEMATOS ALLAGIS, in other words the “legal” hearing by the secret services of the conversations of an elected politician and party leader, is an unprecedented institutional deviation, carried out in violation of the Constitution and the law.
The consequences of the confession of the person directly responsible for the Prime Minister’s EYP, were to lead to the removal from their positions of the EYP commander Mr. Kontoleon and the general secretary of the Prime Minister Mr. Dimitriadis. Nothing more, that is, than a short utterance of “apetaxamen”.
However, the institutional deviation remains, the violation of constitutional legality is rampant, the undermining of every concept of privacy of communications erodes rights and values, the questions are gigantic and as long as faces and responsibilities are hidden in the dark, the Republic, in awe, will wait for its next challenge .
Mister President,
Politics must be guided by the ethics of responsibility. It is necessary to know, the Greek people must know what happened in the sad for our political life current case of surveillance, the events, the protagonists, the motives, the pursuits of invisible and visible centers.
Only in this way, with the complete and whole truth, can we protect the Republic, shielding it with all the necessary means.
We therefore request the immediate convening of the Institutions and Transparency Committee, within the current week, following its July 29, 2022 meeting, in which they will be invited to a hearing:
a) the new commander of the National Intelligence Service, Mr. Themistoklis Demiris
b) the deposed commander of the National Intelligence Service, unwaveringly silent during his first examination for what he did for the “legitimate” attachments Mr. Panagiotis Kontoleon
c) the appeals prosecutor Ms. Vassiliki Vlachou, responsible for the EYP, as an integral part of the wiretapping case are the prosecutorial orders to remove the confidentiality of communications and the justification that accompanies them
d) the former general secretary of the prime minister, Mr. Grigoris Dimitriadis, as he allegedly maintained the line of communication with the former commander of the EYP,
