“Welcome to the new Aeroméxico baby”, were the words with which it was announced to the passengers of flight AM113 on Friday (15) that a woman gave birth on the plane traveling from Mexico City to Ciudad Juárez.
According to a statement from the airline, the woman “went into labor and was immediately attended to by the flight attendant crew, as well as by a doctor who was on board the flight.”
Videos shared on social media show the moment they asked for applause for the doctor who helped with the birth.
Free flights for the newborn
To celebrate the baby's arrival into the world and as part of the airline's 90th anniversary, 90 free flights will be granted to the newborn.
“We are very excited to be part of this great story that is just beginning”, celebrated the statement.
In another of the videos shared, it is possible to see a member of the plane's crew assisting the woman in the front seats of the aircraft and wrapping the baby in a blanket.
Both mother and baby were taken to the hospital upon landing at Ciudad Juárez International Airport.
