A video showing a shepherd promoting the “gay cure” during a service in Palmas, Tocantins, generated outrage and led to the opening of a investigation by the Public Ministry of Tocantins (MPTO).
In the recording, the religious states that a teenager “was healed” your gender identity or sexuality by divine intervention. He describes the case as the expulsion of “demons” which, according to him, influenced her.
The pastor says: “A demon screamed and said: ‘Change your sex’. […] Jesus cried out in my soul, you’re going to marry a man, you’re going to have children, from today on you’re going to dress like a woman.”

The teenager’s parents, who were present at the service, reported that were in the process of acceptance about their daughter’s option, but said they believed in the pastor’s message.
The case reached the Tocantins Public Ministry on November 29th through a complaint from the SOMOS collective.
According to the agency, the complaint was forwarded to the 15th Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Capital, which initiated a procedure to investigate possible violations of human and minority rights.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the MP will monitor the circumstances surrounding the speech and video.
Wanted by CNN so far, the pastor has not commented on the case.
