Onésio Júnior, aged 39, died, on Monday (25), in a rehabilitation clinic for drug addicts in Embu-Guaçu, in Greater São Paulo.
Five men, employees of the Kairós Prime Therapeutic Community, aged between 26 and 65, were arrested on suspicion of participating in the victim’s death.
Versions
- The detainees informed the police authorities that the man had fled the scene and, after being captured, began to feel unwell and was therefore taken to the hospital.
- However, according to doctors, the victim had already arrived at the medical unit lifeless.
- At the clinic, witnesses told the Civil Police that the victim had been attacked, and that the area of the attack had been washed to make forensic work more difficult.
The case was registered as homicide, kidnapping, false imprisonment and torture at the Embu-Guaçu Police Station.
Another case
In the same clinic, there is another episode of homicide recorded in a police report.
According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, in March 2023, a 27-year-old man was found dead with signs of violence on his neck. At the time, three employees at the site were arrested red-handed.
A CNN contacted the Kairós Prime Therapeutic Community, but did not receive a response until the publication of this article.
