Patient dies in rehabilitation clinic in Greater SP and 5 employees are arrested

Onésio Júnior, aged 39, died, on Monday (25), in a rehabilitation clinic for drug addicts in Embu-Guaçu, in Greater São Paulo.

Five men, employees of the Kairós Prime Therapeutic Community, aged between 26 and 65, were arrested on suspicion of participating in the victim’s death.

Versions

  • The detainees informed the police authorities that the man had fled the scene and, after being captured, began to feel unwell and was therefore taken to the hospital.
  • However, according to doctors, the victim had already arrived at the medical unit lifeless.
  • At the clinic, witnesses told the Civil Police that the victim had been attacked, and that the area of ​​the attack had been washed to make forensic work more difficult.

The case was registered as homicide, kidnapping, false imprisonment and torture at the Embu-Guaçu Police Station.

Another case

In the same clinic, there is another episode of homicide recorded in a police report.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, in March 2023, a 27-year-old man was found dead with signs of violence on his neck. At the time, three employees at the site were arrested red-handed.
