Paula Fernandes praises Ana Castela and reveals why she didn't wear a hat

Paula Fernandes participated in the recording of Ana Castela's new DVD earlier this week. After collaborating with the Boiadeira project, the country veteran celebrated the success of the newcomer and highlighted a similarity between them.

During an interview with the “PodDelas” podcast last Tuesday (09), Paula Fernandes began: “She is from this new generation and being able to share something so beautiful of mine with a girl who is making history. We have very similar things.”

As for the similarities, Paula Fernandes highlighted the use of one of the accessories that became Ana Castela's trademark: the hat. According to the singer, she also wanted to use the accessory, but was prevented from doing so during her career.

“She brought back something that was very lacking. When I was out of shape, they took my hat off and I was outraged. They said: it will limit you a lot, they will think you are from the rodeo.”, said Paula Fernandes.

The country singer highlighted that she even thanked Ana Castela, as they both wore hats during the re-recording of “Pássaro de Fogo”. “When I saw this girl there, 'I'm really going to f***, I even joked with her and said thank you, that I owed you the hat that one day was taken from me.'” She concluded.

Track chosen for DVD

As for the song chosen for the Boiadeira modão DVD, Paula Fernandes revealed that this is the first time she has re-recorded the song “Pássaro de Fogo”. “I had never released it to anyone, right? I've always received requests to re-record, nothing against the artists who asked me, but Ana has a history with music.”, explained Paula.

“Her mother is passionate about music. That thing of dreaming of seeing Ana be a singer because she saw Paula Fernandes singing 'Pássaro de Fogo'. So I think when it’s like that it’s genuine.”, said the singer.
