Paulo Cupertino’s daughter reports attacks and eight-month confinement

Isabela Tibcherani Matias, daughter of Paulo Cupertino, stated during her testimony this Thursday (10) that she was kept in private prison for eight months after her father discovered her relationship with former actor Rafael Miguel.

According to Isabela, Cupertino completely isolated her, with no access to her cell phone or contact with other people.

“I was imprisoned for eight months, without interacting with anyone, just receiving messages from a friend” he declared.

She explained that she was confined to a room where she could not see the street.

“There was only one window in the bathroom, which faced directly onto my father’s business,” he said.

Fear and violence

Isabela said that, as soon as her father found out about the relationship, he went to pick her up from school, claiming that her mother was hurt.

“I was very afraid of him. He called me all names and locked me in the house.” reported.

During the testimony, which lasted around 50 minutes, Isabela also detailed the violent behavior of her father, accused of the triple homicide that occurred on June 9, 2019.

“My mother always had a swollen face, a broken nose, machete marks on her back and bruises on her body,” he reported.

The relationship with Rafael Miguel and the day of the crime

Isabela fondly recalled her relationship with Rafael, describing him as a sweet, intelligent person who was attached to family values. “He was exceptional,” he said.

About the day of the crime, she said that she met Rafael and when she returned home she was taken inside by her father. Only then did he hear the shots.

“When I came out, I saw three bodies stretched out. Rafael was over his mother’s body, and his father was lying next to the car”, he concluded.
