THE Niterói Mac (Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói) in Rio de Janeiro, a exhibition dedicated to Paulo Gustavo . The actor died at age 42 in 2021, a victim of COVID-19.
“Laughing, an act of resistance” will be on display until the day June 1st . Organized in five galleries, the exhibition brings together childhood and youth records, personal collection materials, original costumes of striking characters and immersive scenographs that invite the visitor to relive moments of the artist’s career.
Another highlight is a short film, which will be displayed in a space that recreates the environment of a movie theater. The project was developed with the support of the family and led by the widower of the honoree, Thales Bretas.
The exhibition may be visited from Tuesday to Sunday from 10h to the 18h (with allowed entry until 5:30 pm). The whole ticket costs $ 16.00. Already the half R $ 8.00. Tickets must be purchased at the Mac Niterói box office.
Paulo Gustavo was born in Niterói. After his death, one of the streets of the Icaraí neighborhood earned his name. A statue was also built in the Campo de São Bento Park. The place has become a tourist spot since then.
