Paulo Henriques Britto is elected immortal of the Brazilian Academy of Letters

The poet, translator and literary critic Paulo Henriques Britto was elected member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters (GLA), this Thursday (22).

At 73, he takes over the number 30 chair, and will occupy a place that was from writer Heloisa Teixeira, who died in March this year.

Born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in December 1951, he published seven poetry books, such as “No Mystery”, released in 2018. Throughout his career, he won numerous awards, such as Portugal Telecom, APCA, Bravo! Prime of Literature, Jabuti Award and more.
