Payments firm Nuvei partners with Ledger

Canadian electronic payment platform Nuvei has entered into an agreement with a hardware wallet provider to give customers direct access to cryptocurrencies.

Fintech company Nuvei has announced a partnership with Ledger. Through the partnership, platform users should have direct access to over 125 cryptocurrencies with all popular fiat funding options through the newly acquired Simplex payment solution provider.

Ledger users using Ledger Live will be able to buy digital currencies through the payment systems Mastercard, Visa, SWIFT, SEPA and others. This integration will eliminate the need for external exchanges and payment gateways “at the expense of maximum security.” There should be no need for additional interaction with other third-party platforms, which, according to Nuvei, will also affect security.

Simplex will have to stop fraudulent schemes, and Ledger will be engaged in attracting new customers, trying to explain to them how a hardware wallet is useful. Nuvei CEO Philip Fayer said the number of ways to protect your assets is constantly growing. Therefore, Fire believes, it is extremely important that it is easy to get a hardware wallet, then this will open a further safe path to get acquainted with the cryptocurrency industry.

At the end of February, the developers of the cryptocurrency wallet Coinbase Wallet announced a collaboration with Ledger, in which they will release a special version of the Ledger Nano X wallet.
