From 1 January 2021, following the Brexi, the rules governing the entry of foreign workers into the UK. Skills and talent they become the basis for calculating a score and only for the workers who will score at least 70 points the doors of the country across the Channel will open. For now, different types of visas have been envisaged for workers; so let’s see the main types.
VISA FOR QUALIFIED WORKERS
The «Skilled Worker» visa includes the possession of a job offer by a sponsor recognized by the English Home Office. In short, you cannot go to London and once there look for a job. No, you will need to have one in your hand before boarding the plane.
Then there is one minimum wage threshold to be respected which coincides with “£ 26,500 or the current salary for that specific job, whichever is the higher”. The minimum wage limit cannot in any case be lower than 20,480 pounds yearly.

THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS
A sort of preferential lane, probably also due to the contingent health situation, is reserved for health care professions recognized in the United Kingdom. The “Health and Care” visa has been designed for these workers, which includes the same requirements as the previous one, but also a series of advantages: “Fast access, reduced administrative fee and dedicated support during the application process, exemption from paying the immigration health supplement”.
VISA FOR TALENT
With the visa «Global Talent»On the other hand, the United Kingdom seems to want to attract the most promising talents, as has been the case for some time at university level. This visa waives the requirement to have a job offer prior to arrival; it is not aimed at talented professionals in all sectors but only at those “in science, humanities, engineering, arts (including film, fashion design and architecture) and digital technology, possessing unique skills in enriching the UK’s wealth of knowledge, economy and society, ‘specifies the government site.
A VISA FOR GRADUATES
Another visa, the «Graduate Visa», finally, it was designed for those who have obtained a university degree in the United Kingdom. These people will be able to work or look for work up to a maximum of 2 years (3 for PhD students) after completing their studies.
Beware because this visa will only be available from summer 2021 “For international students who have been sponsored by a Home Office recognized student sponsor with a proven track record of complying with UK government immigration requirements.”
