The Democratic Labor Party (PDT) filed a Direct Action of Unconstitutionality in the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against the PEC dos Precatório this Friday (10).
The action calls for the suspension of the text promulgated this Wednesday (8), in a joint ceremony with presidents of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), and of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL).
According to the party, the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution has an electoral purpose on the part of the federal government.
“In practice, the changes arising from EC 113/2021 will release BRL 91.6 billion of space in the 2022 budget, through the change in the ceiling calculation rule, which evidently amounts to a plaything for electoral purposes”, highlights an excerpt of the action.
Also according to the party, the approved amendments are unconstitutional.
“Let this Direct Action of Unconstitutionality be known and upheld to declare the total unconstitutionality of the autonomous text and of the constitutional and transitory amendments promoted by Constitutional Amendment No. 113/2021, for violation of the provisions of the Federal Constitution concluded during this exordial”, he concludes the request.
