Film recordings “Peaky Blinders” began on Monday (30), Netflix announced. The first images from the production were also released by the streaming service.
The feature film follows the series of the same name Steve Knight who is also responsible for the film. The Oscar winner Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”) returns as protagonist Thomas Shelby. See the photo above.
According to Knight, the plot that ran for six seasons will have a “final chapter”: “I think the film will be a step forward again and it will be great that fans of ‘Peaky [Blinders]’ can meet in one place and watch it. The budget will be bigger, but also because we know it is the final chapter, we will all try to do our best”.
Names like Barry Keoghan (“The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Saltburn”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission Impossible” and “Dune”) and Tim Roth (“Reservoir Dogs” and “The Hateful Eight”) are also confirmed in the cast.
More information about the plot and cast has not yet been revealed, as has the premiere date. The series “Peaky Blinders” premiered in 2012 and came to an end in 2022 after six seasons. It is available on Netflix.
