‘Pebbles’, the 22-year-old dog who won the Guinness record for the longest in the world

Being part of the Guinness Book of World Records is a dream that many would like to achieve, since the fact that a person’s name appears there is a historical event worth remembering.

However, the best person in some field is not always rewarded, but also the best food, art, video game and even animals, as in the case of this American dog who broke the record for the longest living canine on the planet.

22-year-old dog breaks Guinness record for the oldest in the world

The average life of a dog is between 10 to 15 years, but Pebbles is the exception to the rule, as she is an exemplary female of the Toy Fox Terrier breed, born on March 28, 2000, so with 22 years and 70 days, on May 17, he received his certificate that crowns him as the oldest living dog in the world.

The owners of Pebbles are Bobby and Julie Gregory, a couple living in South Carolina, United States, who never imagined that their beloved dog would break a Guinness record until a group of family and friends encouraged them.

Bobby was sitting on the couch and his friends and family started texting and calling him about a news story they had seen about a 21-year-old dog who had set the record.

After having been recognized as the oldest dog, the owners of Plebbes created an Instagram account for her under the name pebbles_since_2000where they have been in charge of publishing videos and photographs of the adorable furry so that people know more about her life.

When asked about Pebbles’ habits and customs, her masters assured that she is a dog that follows them everywhere, that she loves to sleep during the day and that she stays up all night.

Also, the record-winning dog loves sunbathing by the pool. Her favorite foods include pizza, burgers, tacos, and cat food, just as mentioned in her profile.

Regarding Pebbles’ sentimental life, Bobby and Julie commented that in 2017, Rocky, the partner of their dog, died at the age of 16. Puppy with whom she had a total of 24 pups, in different litters.

The age of his beloved mound never ceases to surprise and cause astonishment among people who have known them for years, because it seems incredible to them that despite his age he is still alive.
