THE Pebblesthe dog Fox Terrier, who held the record for the oldest dog in the world, passed away earlier this week at the age of 22 in the southeastern US, announced the Guinness Book of Records. The dog has been eating exclusively cat food since 2012, which may have contributed to its longevity.

According to Julie Gregory, who owned her, the secret of Pebbles’ longevity and health lay in the care of her hygiene, which she observed “with the greatest devotion”.
Pebbles, a country fan, died five months shy of her 23rd birthday.
