In June, hackers managed to steal nearly $93 million in cryptocurrencies, according to analytics firm PeckShield in its monthly report. In total, hackers committed 42 hacks.

As of June 30, 2023, about 1,105 ETH and 1,579 BNB have been transferred to the Tornado Cash crypto mixer. Also, 0.18 ETH was sent to the ChangeNOW platform and 19,990 DAI to the Railgun platform. Hackers also withdraw funds to the CEX and FixedFloat platforms, analysts write.

In addition, $2.27 million worth of NFTs were stolen in June, down 23% from the previous month.

PeckShield analysts report that the biggest hack was the Atomic Wallet crypto wallet — $12 million in crypto was stolen from it. However, according to other analytics platforms, the Atomic Wallet hack could lead to the loss of $100 million in cryptocurrency.

Earlier, Elliptic reported that crypto assets that were stolen from Atomic Wallet wallets began to flow to the Sinbad service, popular with Lazarus Group hackers.

The total amount of cryptocurrencies stolen by hackers for the first half of 2023 was $457.78 million. In the first three months of the year, $255.8 million in crypto was stolen: $8.8 million (January), $35.5 million (February), $211.5 million (March). Hackers stole $93.4 million in cryptocurrency in April, $16.03 million in May, and $92.55 million in June.
