The Civil Police of Mogi das Cruzes confirmed that the serial killer known as Pedrinho Matador was killed this Sunday morning (5), in the city located in Greater São Paulo, at the age of 68.
He was on the street when he was hit by gunfire. The suspects fled shortly after the crime.
The case is being registered as qualified homicide and location/seizure of a vehicle at the Central de Flagrantes de Mogi das Cruzes.
Considered one of the biggest serial killers in Brazil, Pedrinho Matador, born in the interior of Minas Gerais and raised in Mogi das Cruzes, served more than 40 years in prison, between comings and goings, but he had been released since 2018.
In 2021, the killer, who says he does not regret any of the crimes he has committed, tells in an interview with Cometa Podcast, made in partnership with the Flow podcast, that his first murder was at the age of 14.
According to him, the crime was committed against a distant cousin during a fight over a horse.
“I was a tomboy, I worked with my grandfather, first crime, I threw a distant cousin in the cane grinder. He had punched me in the eye and kicked me because I had borrowed his horse for a ride”, he says.
In 1996, in an interview with Fantástico, when he was still in prison, Pedrinho says that he felt a special pleasure in killing the mayor, after having fired his father in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, in the south of Minas Gerais.
