“Girl of the Moment” will mark the debut of Pedro Goifman 21, on open TV. In the plot, written by Alessandra Poggi the artist will be Guto, a studious, sensitive boy, who combines his studies for the medical entrance exam with street games.

In an interview with CNN the actor says that his debut comes with a very particular feeling. “My greatest happiness is knowing that my grandmothers, Theresa and Berta they will watch me in this place.”
The joy is also doubled by being cast in a serial set in the 1950s – an important period in the construction of Brazilian history.
“Diving in the 1950s has been a great challenge. The time brings a different body, a different way of moving, a unique vocabulary, with specific morals and customs”, he adds.
His fascination with production is also reflected in the work considered open. “I don’t even know what will happen to my character. The public’s reaction interferes with the plot. The viewer is a co-author”, he admits.
“It’s great to dive into a universe with another logic that is, at the same time, so similar to what we live in. It is a dialectical exercise. 2024 coexisting with 1958. Reproduce and, at the same time, create, invent, fable in a critical way based on history”, he guarantees.
Pedro Goifman’s inspirations for “Garota do Momento”
In addition to the personal field, in which he has his own grandmothers as references, Pedro also takes his matriarchs to the screen. “They are both extremely artistic and have a generosity that I have never found anywhere. And, in the soap opera, they are even more fundamental, since they lived in the 1950s. They are my living references from that time”, he celebrates.
Big names from misguided youth such as Elvis Presley, Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson and James Dean are also part of the actor’s searches. “I continue to watch a lot of films, listen to a lot samba and rock and always investigating the text of the novel itself.”
About working with Klara Castanho who returns to the broadcaster, Pedro states that the balance is more than positive. “She is a brilliant and very experienced actress. Being a romantic partner with her has been a delight. We had a lot of fun and she has helped me a lot to understand this new language. It’s great to explore new worlds with such cool and competent people”, he concludes.
