The Chilean actor Pedro Pascal 50, is about to make his first appearance on the screens in 2025. He returns as Joel for the second season of “The Last of Us” which debuts this Sunday (13) at HBO and Max.
The series, however, is just the first work of the star that will be released this year. Throughout the year, Pascal stars three films: “Fantastic Four: First Steps” , “Materialist loves” and “Eddington” .

- The Last of Us (Season 2)
The second season of the adaptation of the eponymous video game debuts this Sunday (13). Pascal returns as Joel and follows the story alongside Bella Ramsey .
Set five years after the first season, the Joel and Ellie’s collective past reaches them, leading them to conflicts with each other and an even more dangerous and unpredictable world than the one who left behind.
- Fantastic Four: First Steps
The Chilean actor makes his debut in the Marvel Film Universe (MCU) in July. Next to Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”), Vanessa Kirby (“Pieces of a Woman”) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”), he starred in the new version of “Fantastic Four.”
Set in the 1960s, Reed Richard (Mr. Fantástico), Sue Strom (invisible woman), Johnny Storm (human torch) and Ben Grimm (thing) are forced to balance family life with superheroes. They must defend the land of Galactus, a god of space, and the silver surfer, who intend to end the planet.
- Materialistic loves
The Second South Korean movie Celine Song which gained fame by writing and directing the Oscar -nominated title “Past Lives”, arrives in Brazilian theaters on the day July 31 .
In the plot, the lucrative business of a matchmaker is complicated when it gets involved in a love triangle involving a perfect pair and its ex. Pascal stars in the romantic comedy next to Chris Evans (“Captain America”) and Dakota Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Gray”)
- Eddington
Part of Official selection of Cannes 2025, “Eddington” It will have the first exhibition at the Film Festival and competes for the Golden Palm. Production, however, has no debut date yet to enter.
The plot of the new movie Ari Aster (“Hereditary”) It revolves around an abandoned couple in a small town of New Mexico. Although initially welcome, the city takes a sinister course at night falls. Joaquin Phoenix plays the sheriff of the city, marked by ambitious dreams.
Names like Joaquin Phoenix (“Joker”), Emma Stone (“La la land”), Luke Grimes (“Yellowstone”) and Austin Butler (“Elvis”) also makes up the cast.
