The singer Pedro Sampaio, 26, stated that he will not release any more songs with singer Anitta, 31, a duo that has worked together on hits such as “No Chão Novinha”, “Joga Pra Lua” and a remix of “Dançarina”.
In an interview with CNN, the artist explained the reason for his decision to break off the possibility of new songs with the singer. “I will never do it again, I have never done it again, never again. Any song I show her, she asks for it,” he said.
“We got tired of making music together, Anitta and Pedro will never be together again. She took all the songs I showed her. I showed her ‘No chão novinha’, it was a song of mine, she asked for it. I gave her ‘Joga para a Lua’ — it was a song of mine and Denis’s, she got it — she asked me to release it for her, I did it,” commented Pedro.
Despite the decision to form partnerships, the two artists remain close — both in their professional and personal lives. According to the singer, their relationship is “almost like a family.”
When asked about Anitta’s absence on his new album, “Astro”, released last Wednesday (4), Pedro commented that she had — and has — the freedom to give her opinion on his work, a path that he is also building in the opposite direction.
“She gives me a lot of advice, she wants to listen to things, give her opinion, guide me in relation to the direction of my career and that is very special.”
And he concluded, showing the affection he has for his friend: “She really deserves this and I make a point of sharing things with her: the songs, the ideas and the next steps to know her opinion, her vision”, he commented.
