The soccer king, Skin must spend Christmas hospitalized at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo, due to the progression of his tumor in the colon.
The information was announced by the daughter of former player Kelly Nascimento, who said through social media that the family decided to suspend Christmas celebrations. The news is expected to be released by the family next week.
“’Insta’ family, our Christmas at home has been suspended. We decided with the doctors that, for several reasons, it would be better for us to stay here, with all the care that Einstein gives us. We, as always, thank you for all the affection you convey, both here in Brazil and around the world”, he declared.
“We wish everyone to celebrate a Christmas that smells like family, children, those fights and with lots of love and health. We love you, we’ll give you an update next week,” added Kelly.
Pelé was hospitalized in São Paulo on November 29 of this year, for a reassessment of chemotherapy; the cancer was identified in September 2021.
According to the latest bulletin released by Albert Einstein Hospital, on Wednesday (23), Pelé presented tumor progression and needs more medical care related to the functioning of his kidney and heart.
