The actor Colin Farrell star of the “Batman” spin-off that will come to Max, “Penguin” said that the series is “incredibly violent” .
In an interview with MovieZinethe actor who plays the mobster from the city of Gotham who becomes the villain Penguin, Oswald Cobblepot, said that recording was a “long and really wonderful” experience.
“It’s dark; this is what I can tell you. She is very dark. It’s very heavy, I think,” he said about the series. “Which doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun, I had a lot of fun doing it. It's incredibly violent. It’s a man’s ascension to where he always dreamed of being, which is a certain power or social status.”
“The death of Carmine Falcone at the end [de ‘Batman’] it leaves this vacuum in Gotham to be filled, and that's why there are several people who are seeking this power”, he added. “This is Oswald’s journey trying to reach the top amidst extraordinary obstacles.”
The cast also has Michael Kelly, Rhenzy Feliz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Michael Zegen, Cristin Milioti, James Madio, Scott Cohen and Deidre O'Connell . With eight episodes in total, the series has not yet had an official date announced.
The new production should arrive later this year.
