THE History of former Uruguayan President José “Pepe” Mujica who died on Tuesday (13) at the age of 89, was counted in the Documentary “The Dreams of Pepe” which premiered in December 2024.
This is the first film of a trilogy directed by Uruguayan filmmaker Pablo Trobo, who had contact with Mujica at the time of his presidential campaign, while working as a cameraman. His first exhibition took place at the Rio de Janeiro Festival of 2024 and It is available on Globoplay and Prime streamings.
According to the official synopsis, “on a planet about to suffer a climate collapse, where humanity adopts a destructive model of development and consumption, the philosophy of Pepe Mujica, former president of Uruguay, serves as a warning to all of us. Mujica’s dream is to be better for future generations, but time is running out and cannot be reversed.”
