PepsiCo announced this Thursday (9) that it had net income of US$ 518 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, well below the gain of US$ 1.32 billion obtained in the same period of the previous year.
In the same comparison, the earnings per share of the American beverage and food company decreased from US$ 0.95 to US$ 0.37.
With adjustments, the gain per share was US$ 1.67 between October and December, slightly surpassing the expectation of analysts consulted by FactSet, of US$ 1.65.
The multinational’s revenue, on the other hand, had an annual expansion of 11% in the quarter, to US$ 28 billion, also above the FactSet consensus, of US$ 26.8 billion.
PepsiCo also announced a 10% increase in the annualized dividend, to $5.06 per share, which will take effect in June.
For 2023, the company projects adjusted earnings per share of $7.20, below the FactSet consensus of $7.27.
