In the first two weeks of June, 125,798 new cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed through pharmacy tests. The number approaches the volume of 136,117 recorded in the entire month of May.
According to the Brazilian Association of Pharmacy and Drugstore Networks (Abrafarma), between June 6 and 12, 29.25% of the 229,637 tests were positive. This is the highest percentage rate in 17 weeks.
The number of cases in the second week of June is almost four times higher than that recorded in the first week of May.
Since the implementation of this service, in April 2020, Brazilian pharmacies have promoted 18,135,477 rapid tests. The positive results totaled 4,148,423 (23%), against 13,987,054 negative (77%).
