DxOMark has published its review of the front camera of the OnePlus 8T smartphone, which was rated at 82 points, including 80 points for photo quality and 84 points for video.
With this rating, the OnePlus 8T could not even make it into the Top 30 Best Smartphones for Selfie Shooting. It scored the same as the Apple iPhone XS Max and lost to the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A71.
The front camera has a 16-megapixel image sensor and an F / 2.4 aperture lens. The review says that the camera provides a good level of detail at close range, good noise control both indoors and outdoors, and smooth bokeh with accurate subject selection.

It also says that the depth of field is shallow at medium to long distances due to the fixed focus lens. The camera has a limited dynamic range, sometimes there are artifacts on the faces. The OenPlus 8T camera has problems with skin tones in low light and sometimes in sufficient light indoors and outdoors.
Earlier, the smartphone took only 47th place in the tests of the main camera. Last week, Liu Zuohu, founder and CEO of OnePlus (Liu Zuohu), announced that OnePlus 9 series smartphones will not be sent to the DxOMark lab for testing.
