Peshkov: Goals Achieved – Maybe the war will end in the near future

The Kremlin said on Friday that Russia’s “special operation” in Ukraine could end in the “near future” as its goals were achieved.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov also said Moscow understood that some countries trying to adopt a balanced position had been pressured to vote on Thursday to remove Russia from the UN Human Rights Council.

Speaking to reporters on a teleconference, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov said the Russian armed forces had no scheduled missions to Kramatorsk on Friday.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the missile was of a type used only by the Ukrainian army and similar to the one that struck downtown Donetsk on March 14, killing 17 people, the RIA news agency reported.
