Peskov: Any EU sanctions will not force Russia to negotiate the end of the war in Ukraine

The Kremlin made it clear yesterday Sunday that the planned 18th EU sanctions in Russia will not force Moscow to negotiate the end of the war in Ukraine. “Only reasonable and documented arguments can bring Russia to the negotiating table,” Dmitry Peskov said on Russian state television. “It is impossible for Russia to coercion through any kind of pressure or violence,” he insisted. Mr Peskov has renowned that the new sanctions package proposed by the European Commission would be adopted despite the veto aired by Slovakia last week. However, he pointed out that the harder these measures are, the more vigorous the reaction will be. The sanctions still considered Dmitry Peskov, is a “double -edged knife”. The Kremlin often stresses that it is the EU itself that is affected by the sanctions it imposes, especially by dramatically limiting the Russian raw materials it introduces, as well as imports of oil and gas.
