“We deplore as we do every day the fact that Western heads of state indulge daily in a nuclear rhetoric,” noted Peskov, adding that this practice is “provocative”, reports the Athens News Agency. The Kremlin spokesman also pointed out that no attempt has been made by either side to discuss a possible meeting with US President Joe Biden.

At the same time, Peskov noted today that he hopes that the Group of Seven (G7) will make “the Kiev regime” accountable for the crimes he has committed. G7 countries pledged yesterday to continue providing economic, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal assistance support to Ukraineadding in a statement issued after their talks that any use of nuclear weapons by Russia would have serious consequences.

Peskov also noted today that there was no “new wave” of conscription in Russia, following reports by some regional officials that they were increasing recruitment efforts, and told reporters to ask regional governors individually about their plans.
