The former leading developer of the GETH client Peter Silladny accused Ethereum Foundation (EF) of trying to allocate $ 5 million so that the project team separated from the fund.
Remember My Sabbatical? Yeah, that was Me Having a One-too-One Meeting with @0xstark ABOUT that “Secret Second Geth Team” I Found Out ABOUT. Within 24 Hours I Was Fireed from the Foundation 🙂

He told the slanders about this in a series of publications in X. He stated that his departure on a “creative vacation” in November was actually connected with the meeting with the representative of the Josh Stark Foundation. During the conversation, the developer demanded an explanation about the “secret second Geth team”, which he learned about the existence of shortly before.
According to the slander, EF threatened to stop financing Geth. Instead, the developers, including himself, offered $ 5 million for the allocation of a client in a private company. Sources claim that he abandoned this and similar proposals several times.
The developer’s publications were a reaction to the statement of Tomash Stanchak, the new EF and developer of the second most popular customer Nethermind. The latter claimed that “there are no plans for removing the Geth.”
There is no Plan to remov Geth. It is a Great Client Software and Talented Team Contributing to Protocol Security. We Will Maintain / Support Geth and Continue Making ites Better and Faster.

By this, he reacted to the earlier statement of the slander that the fund intends to get rid of the Geth for several years in order to focus only on research and education.
EF FIRED 4 DeV Teams A Week AGO and Last I Talked to @hwwonx she -said that goal is to also remov geth in a couple Years to Allow Ef to Be Research/Education Only.

In March, Ethereum Foundation made significant changes in the leadership.
After rearrangements in management, the organization shifted the emphasis on user experience and the problems of scale L1.
In June, Ethereum Foundation reduced part of the research and development team, focusing on key challenges and the main problems of the protocol.
