Petrobras signed a contract with Forbes & Manhattan Resources that forwards the sale of the Shale Industrialization Unit (SIX), located in São Mateus do Sul (PR), for US$ 33 million, the oil company said in a relevant fact on Thursday (11).
Of the total sale value, US$ 3 million were paid on this date, as a guarantee. The remainder will be paid at the closing of the transaction, subject to adjustments provided for in the contract.
“The contract also provides for contingent payments (earnout),” said Petrobras, citing that this is the third sale of refineries, within the divestment plan.
In all, Petrobras has plans to sell eight refineries, keeping the refinery parks in the Southeast, the largest consumer market in the country.
The operation is subject to compliance with precedent conditions, such as approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
Until the fulfillment of the conditions precedent and the closing of the transaction, Petrobras will normally maintain the operation of the unit, he added.
