On Tuesday (18), Petrobras signed the Private Debt Confession Instrument that formalizes its payment commitment regarding the extraordinary employer contributions of the Deficit Equation Plan – 2015 (PED 2015), implemented in 2017, together with the Renegotiated and Non-Renegotiated Petros Pension Plans (PPSP-R and PPSP-NR).
The new Deficit Equation Plan (Novo PED) was approved in 2020 and considered the refinancing of these uncollected contributions from the PED 2015 through the collection of Petrobras and the participants of said plans.
The amount related to Petrobras is R$ 1.1 billion, with the payment of R$ 229 million this month, referring to the amounts not collected from July 2020 to December 2021. The amount of R$ 885 million, referring to the installments due, it will be paid according to the payroll in return for the collection of the part of the participants/assisted.
According to a Petrobras statement, the effects of the deficit-equation plans have already been recognized in the financial statements for the years in which they were implemented. Payments of extraordinary contributions were not previously made because of court injunctions.
