Petrobras’ production in January rose 6% against December, reaching 2.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), according to data from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
Oil production rose 6.8% to 2.2 million barrels per day (bpd) and natural gas rose 5.2% to 101.9 million cubic meters.
In total, Brazil recorded in January this year an oil and natural gas production of 3.9 million boed, 6% above December last year, with a 6.8% increase in oil production, which exceeded 3 million bpb (3.031 million bpd), and 136.9 million cubic meters of natural gas, up 3.5% against the previous month.
The pre-salt accounted for 74.81% of the total, or 2.9 million boed. Compared to the previous month, the volume in the region was 7.49% higher than in December and 10.75% higher than a year ago.
