Petrobras raises jet fuel price by 11% for important hubs

Petrobras raised the price of aviation kerosene (QAV) in several hubs as of Wednesday (1), according to information on its website, with supplies in the areas of important airports becoming about 11% more expensive in comparison. with the May quotation.

In Guarulhos (SP), the monthly increase was 11.2%, to R$ 5.626 per liter. In Duque de Caxias, the increase was 11.29%. In Betim (MG), the adjustment was 11.14%.

In the wake of rising oil prices, Petrobras has been making increases every month in 2022.

Since the beginning of the year, the price in Guarulhos has increased by 64.4%. Other aviation fuel delivery hubs also had increases of this magnitude.

The QAV represents more than a third of the costs of airlines, according to the Brazilian Association of Airlines (Abear).

The shares of the airlines Azul and GOL had sharp drops the day before, by 5.82% and 3.86%, respectively, the date on which Petrobras made the adjustment.
