The VKontakte team announced the launch of a new service called Pets on the social network, which is designed to help take care of pets.
Users will be able to create passports of their pets, as well as start following the schedule of their vaccinations directly in the social network. As the developers note, with “Pets” it will become easier to keep all the most important information about pets close at hand and learn more about caring for them. In addition, it will become easier to plan the necessary procedures: the mini-app will remind you of vaccinations and medication, and will help you plan a trip to the veterinarian.
In the near future, users will be able to share important moments from the life of their pets, collected in the service, in stories or records on their page. Also in the future, “Pets” will be supplemented with an emergency guide with a list of the nearest veterinary clinics, the ability to purchase feed online and create a QR code for the pet owner’s profile that can be placed on the collar.
The service may also be of interest to those who are just planning to have a pet. In expert articles prepared by the editors of the Mail.ru Pets project, you can learn how to choose and care for pets. And to find a four-legged friend, you just need to go to specialized resources, including platforms for finding pets in shelters.
