Peugeot’s global sales have increased

Sales volume of new cars with Peugeot brands increased by 5%. The French brand, which belongs to the Stellantis Group, announced that its global sales moved upwards in 2021 compared to 2020. Also, some more data from the commercial activity of the French brand with the lion brand were announced. Sales in 37 countries surpassed the sales record set in 2015. The Peugeot 208 ranked first in sales in Europe. The 2008 Peugeot topped B-SUV sales in Europe.

One in 6 Peugeot vehicles sold in Europe in 2021 was electric. In light commercial vehicles the increase was 12%, compared to 2020. The demand for versions with automatic transmission increased, occupying 50% of the cars sold in 2021. “In a very turbulent global context, I am very proud of “Excellent performance of the Peugeot brand, which was able to show its flexibility and see its global sales increase by 5% in 2021,” said Linda Jackson, CEO of Peugeot. In the Greek market, in 2021 Peugeot recorded 10,584 passenger car registrations. Its share was 10.5%, an increase in sales volume +33.6, compared to 2020. It occupied the 2nd place in the general sales ranking, the 1st place in the sales of diesel versions and the 3rd place in the electric ones. The Peugeot 208 took 2nd place in the overall classification of the B category, the 2nd place in the petrol versions and the 1st place in the electric ones in its category. The Peugeot 2008 took 1st place in its category. The Peugeot 3008 took 2nd place in its category.
