Businessman Júlio Farias was arrested in a joint operation by the Senate Legislative Police and the Federal Police (PF) this Thursday (22) in Amapá. He had made a series of threats to Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP).
At the businessman’s house, the police found 10 weapons and more than 3,000 ammunition. Among the artifacts were 1 rifle, 2 shotguns and 5 semi-automatic pistols.
In a video published on Instagram on Saturday (19), the businessman calls Randolfe a “gazelle” and says that “the day I meet you and you say to me ‘you lost, mané’, you’re going to get beaten up”.

The search and seizure warrant was issued by federal judge Pollyanna Kelly Maciel Medeiros Martins Alves, from the 12th Federal Criminal Court of Brasília. In the authorities’ decision, Júlio Farias must maintain a minimum distance of two hundred meters from the parliamentarian.
The businessman was arrested in flagrante delicto for illegal possession of an accessory for restricted use, as he had a silencer for a rifle purchased on the internet, without legal authorization. After the PF procedure, Farias was sent to the custody hearing and will be available to the Justice.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 6 years in prison.
