The Federal Police (PF) preventively arrested, this Friday (21), four people involved in the illegal trade in weapons. The police officers also fulfill 37 search and seizure warrants, as well as 11 orders to suspend the economic activities of legal entities, kidnapping of assets acquired from 2019 and blocking of values. The PF demanded the blocking of 14 pages, profiles and channels for the dissemination of illegal content on the world wide web.
This determination of the Federal Court of Caruaru is being fulfilled in Alagoas, São Paulo and Pernambuco.
According to PF investigations, the group defrauded the Collector, Sports Shooter and Hunter (CAC) registration to obtain weapons that were then sold. And they used profiles on social networks to publicize the sale and make ads that incited the use of weapons.
The investigation began in October 2021 to ascertain the information that a shooting club and a gun store belonging to the same group taught courses, provided repair, maintenance and customization services for firearms, carried out by people without a PF license, to act as gunsmiths and producing ideologically false documents on behalf of legally accredited gunsmiths, but who had no ties to these legal entities.
Those involved will answer for crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, misrepresentation, use of false documents, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal trade in firearms, with penalties that can reach 30 years in prison and a fine.
