PF arrests four people with cocaine at Guarulhos Airport

The Federal Police arrested four people who were transporting cocaine at Guarulhos Airport, in São Paulo, this weekend.

The passengers were trying to take the drugs to Europe, according to the PF. The IRS also participated in the arrests on Saturday (25) and Sunday (26).

The agents identified the illicit substance by inspecting luggage and passengers, through interviews, X-ray devices and sniffer dogs.

A Brazilian couple, who were traveling separately to France, were arrested with more than 7kg of cocaine in the structure of two suitcases and in capsules attached to their bodies.



In another action, agents arrested a man from Guinea-Bissau, caught with more than 2kg of the drug in volumes fixed to his legs and thighs. He would embark for Portugal.

Furthermore, Federal Revenue officers, who were inspecting luggage on a flight to France, found 3kg of cocaine in the body of a Brazilian woman. She was taken to the Federal Police station, where she was arrested.

The four suspects were brought before the Federal Court and may face charges for the crime of international drug trafficking.
