PF arrests German suspected of spreading threats of terrorist and racist attacks

The Federal Police (PF) arrested a German man who was spreading hate crimes and terrorist acts over the internet.

The temporary arrest warrant was served on Monday afternoon (14) in Blumenau (SC), after the PF managed to find the suspect based on monitoring. The agents also carried out a search and seizure at his home, in the capital of São Paulo.

The police operation investigates an online network specializing in this type of hate crime.

According to the PF, the foreigner is suspected of leading the group that spread racist threats through social media.

Electronic equipment, documents and various chemical substances that could be used to manufacture explosives were found in his home, according to agents.

The person being investigated may be liable for terrorism, for practicing, inducing or inciting discrimination, or prejudice based on race, color, ethnicity, religion or national origin and criminal organization. He was sent to Blumenau prison.
