THE Federal Police (PF) held this Tuesday (17), together with the Special Action Group for the Repression of Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Public Ministry of the Federal District, the Restos da Maldade operation, with the objective of fight a gang accused of laundering money obtained through robberies of armored vehicles and securities companies .
According to the PF, six search and seizure warrants are being carried out in the Federal District, as well as in the states of Goiás and Minas Gerais, in order to obtain more evidence of the crimes committed.
The main targets of the operation were killed last year, during the police action that fought robbers who had rented a farm in the city of Varginha (MG) and were preparing to act in the municipality, resulting in 26 deaths, according to the PF.
Also according to the investigations, it was discovered that those involved were buying several luxury properties in cash, taking trips to luxury resorts, in addition to creating shell companies and carrying out other acts in order to hide and disguise the assets obtained through robberies in Brazil. .
