The Federal Police launched on Wednesday afternoon (7) an operation against a group suspected of performing illicit financial operations, which included collecting, hiding and disguising amounts from the crime, such as drug trafficking.
The action, carried out by the Integrated Force to Combat Mato Grosso Organized Crime (FICCO/MT) and the Special Action Group on Organized Crime Suppression (Gaeco) occurred in the cities of Sinop (MT) and Várzea Grande, in the metropolitan region of the capital Cuiabá.
In all, 14 pre -trial detention warrants and 13 search and seizure warrants, in addition to the kidnapping of assets and values, were fulfilled.
According to investigations, the gang used women as a “key pieces” to collect and move the money from the faction. Among the organization’s investigated, nine of the members are women, who performed important functions.
During Wednesday’s action (7), a woman was caught carrying about half a million reais on a false background on the panel of a car, while transporting the sum of Sinop to Cuiabá.
In addition to the values ​​in kind, various goods and documents were also seized.
According to the Federal Police, investigations must follow to identify others involved.
