A scheme in which indigenous health nurses were forced to send intimate photos to keep their jobs was discovered by the Federal Police (PF).
The operation, launched this Wednesday (18), carried out 14 precautionary measures in cities in Mato Grosso and Goiás, including arrest and search and seizure warrants.
According to the PF, managers of the Xavante Special Indigenous Health District demanded intimate images of the nurses and charged high prices for the maintenance of employment contracts.
Professionals who did not submit to these requirements faced retaliation such as area reassignment or dismissal based on manipulated performance evaluations.
In addition to sexual and financial harassment, the investigation revealed the creation of a false indigenous population census to justify new hires.
