PF fights drug trafficking; target of the operation was in a semi-open regime

The Federal Police (PF) fights international drug trafficking, this Friday (7), and fulfills four search and seizure warrants in Aparecida de Goiânia and Jaraguá, in Goiás.

According to the PF, the target of the operation, called Rédea Curta, was arrested in 2016 and sentenced to 23 years for association with international drug trafficking and trafficking, and the gang was dismantled.

He received regime progression in 2021 and the right to remain in a semi-open regime. Upon being released, the man returned to criminal activity and to acquire goods with the money from the crime.

The investigation showed that the man registered these assets in the name of other people.

The target of the case, who is already responsible for crimes involving drug trafficking, will now be held responsible for laundering or hiding assets, rights and values, with a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

The name of the operation refers to the main asset purchased by the person involved with the money from the traffic: horses.
